This is your final opportunity to earn NRG Points and secure a Showdown invite to Champs before the 2025 NRG Championship. It’s true; you’re personally invited to play in the premier collaboration between MTGO and independent tournament organizers.

- Capacity: 384 players cap, Ages 18+ with a US/Canada MTGO Account
- Date: Sunday, November 9, 2025 Starting at 9am Central
- Event Fees: $25. Fee includes a 6-pack sealed pool of EOE Play Boosters, a Draft token for all players, and a complementary MTGO “New Player Account Upgrade.”
- NRG Points: Full Showdown-level structure including CHAMPS Invites to the Winner (Note: There are no RCQ invites associated with this event)
- $2500 Prize Pool: First $1000 | Second $500 | 3rd-4th $250 | 5th-8th $125

This collaboration between NRG and MTGO has been over a year in the making—the result of countless conversations, pitches, and a shared belief that digital and tabletop Magic deserve to stand side by side.
The photo above shows the NRG, UltimateGuard, and MTGO/Daybreak staff, commentators, and players in the Magic Online Vintage Cube LIVE Prize Cube held October 25-26, 2024. It was there the first conversations began with the MTGO team to bring this event to life.
This test event was birthed from those first discussions. And percisely because it’s a test, to see it fill would be a personal victory for everyone who’s worked behind the scenes to make it real.

One of our winners this year has a conflict with the dates of champs (details on Champs 2025 to come soon and be linked here). Rather than have an event with byes due to an odd number of players, a decision was made to link that invite with this MTGO x NRGSeries event.
